Roots & early rhythm
Born in New Jersey and raised in Delaware, Angel grew up in a Liberian household that prized education, integrity, and excellence. Her parents—both first-generation immigrants—modeled hard work and open-mindedness, fostering a home where curiosity was encouraged and discipline was a daily practice. Dance became her first language of expression. From ballet to hip-hop routines inspired by Dance Moms, she learned that confidence is built through repetition and that artistry requires accountability. The stage taught her how to command attention, a lesson that would later shape her professional voice in marketing.
Finding her voice at NYU
At six years old, Angel decided she would attend NYU after learning the Olsen twins did. Years later, she made it happen. Majoring in Politics with a minor in Business, Entertainment, Media & Technology, she entered college during the pandemic—isolated, determined, and ready to build community online. What began as simple Instagram posts soon evolved into connection and influence. Sophomore year brought freedom, opportunity, and clarity: her passion wasn’t law or policy—it was communication. She discovered that media was her true field, the thread connecting activism, culture, and creativity.
From campus content to Quizlet campaigns
Angel’s first taste of social strategy came as a work-study student managing NYU’s official social channels. She pitched bold content ideas, launched the university’s TikTok account, and learned to blend storytelling with data. After internships in consumer packaged goods and digital marketing, she joined Quizlet—first as an intern, then as a full-time social marketer.
Today, she helps shape Quizlet’s voice across social platforms, bridging the gap between learning and engagement. Her campaigns spotlight how educational tools can stay human in an AI age.
